Valeda Light Therapy

A Breakthrough, Non-Invasive Treatment to Help Slow Vision Loss

Dry Age-Related Macular Degeneration (Dry AMD) is a common eye condition that gradually damages the macula, the part of your retina responsible for sharp, central vision. Over time, Dry AMD can make everyday tasks like reading or recognizing faces more difficult. Until recently, there were few options to slow its progression. We’re proud to offer the Valeda Light Delivery System, the first FDA-authorized treatment specifically designed for patients with Dry AMD.

What Is Valeda Light Therapy?

Valeda uses photobiomodulation, a gentle light-based therapy that delivers specific wavelengths of light—blue, red, and near-infrared—to your retina. These wavelengths stimulate the energy centers of your cells, called mitochondria, to promote cell repair, reduce inflammation, and support better eye health. In simple terms, the light helps your retinal cells function better and may slow the progression of Dry AMD.

What You Can Expect

Quick and Easy: Each session takes less than 5 minutes per eye
No Pain or Needles: Completely non-invasive with no drops, drugs, or injections
No Recovery Time: Resume normal activities immediately
Treatment Plan: Most patients receive 9 treatments over 3 to 5 weeks, repeated three times a
year

Who Can Benefit?

Valeda is best suited for patients with early to moderate Dry AMD who want to take a proactive step in preserving their vision. Clinical studies have shown improved or stabilized vision in many patients after consistent treatment. However, Valeda is not recommended for individuals with photosensitivity or those taking light-sensitive medications.
