Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT)

OCT is a non-invasive imaging technique that provides cross-sectional views of the

retina, allowing for early detection of structural changes. It is the gold standard for

retinal imaging and is commonly used for conditions such as:

  • Macular degeneration
  • Diabetic macular edema
  • Glaucoma
  • Macular holes and epiretinal membranes

The high-resolution imaging of OCT helps track disease progression and assess the

effectiveness of treatments. It is commonly done on most visits.
